First of let me start by wishing everyone a very very happy new year. Hope you had a great holiday week and though it sucks to be back to routine… well, we’ve got to!!
If there is one thing I love and religiously follow in a skincare, it’s applying a face mask. I kid you not!! I am hopeless in applying moisturizer or serum or even body butters (Although I hoard them like a crazy cat-lady!). So I’m always trying various masks and even whip out stuff from the fridge 🙂 and it’s no surprise that LUSH and TBS are my hangouts to find them 🙂 And on one such visit I got this.
LUSH calls it as :BLUEBERRY INFUSED MAINTENANCE MASK.
Prevent disasters by taking regular care with our deep cleaning blueberry mask, Catastrophe Cosmetic. Use this one weekly as a deep cleansing treatment to kick off your regular skincare routine.

Contents : blueberries, soothing chamomile, irish moss, almond oil, calamine powder and talc among others. The ingredients are supposed to act as an antiseptic, calm and soothe the skin and overall reduce inflammation with essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
Cost : $8 for 75gms

My Experience with the Product: I was mainly looking for something to soothe my winter-harmed flaky skin. I am so happy that the SA suggested I get this. This actually has little bits of blueberry which melt on your skin as I blend it on my face. For some reason that made me giggle. It also has a distinguished odour. not pleasant or unpleasant, just a smell. As soon as I applied it, my skin started to feel more calm and the inflammation I was feeling for a couple of days was cooling off. After 10 mins I washed it off with lukewarm water and was pleased to notice that It did NOT dry my skin like a lot other masks do. Also, that one zit troubling me was looking much better now. That evening my skin looked healthy, radiant and Luminized. Love this stuff!!!

The only cons I found was:
– KInda expensive in terms of quantity.
– It’s a fresh mask so the shelf life is 3 weeks (putting this in con because most times I can’t finish in 3 weeks :()
– DIY ppl can whip this up easily. (I should try that).
Verdict : I really like this mask and I will definitely recommend it. IMO, its great for winters and works for all skin types.

So What’s your favourite face mask? Do you like the “squeaky clean” feel, or do you prefer your skin to feel more moisturised? What’s you favourite mask? Let me know in the comments below 🙂
You look so cute with the mask on Bee. hihi. Evn i am like you. 😛 I can try n number of face packs bt whn it comes to body lotion or even a moisturiser i suck. :/
LOL.. cute?? thanks. hahah. this time I resisted making a funny face 😀
seriously, my hands have become all dry with the cold and dishes. phir bhi I’m ignoring them..
I have never tried Lush face masks. Have you tried any of the others? I need to find a lush by me, I have no idea where the closest one is.
I go to the one in aventura. I have tried their cosmetic warrior mask and angels on dead skin scrub. They were really good too.
Hmmm, Aventura is a hike for me, I live downtown. Maybe I’ll just wait for the one on Lincoln Rd to open. How was your weekend?
Ohh. I live around downtown too.. even I got to aventura in like 2-3months. are they opening one on Lincoln road? I love lounging on lincoln. specially in ghirardeli 🙂
weekend I was all sick 🙁 how was yours?
Yeah I saw a Lush store there but it wasn’t open yet. So excited that they opened a F21 on Lincoln. My weekend was good, spent Friday and Saturday celebrating friends’ bdays and spent Sunday recovering
I just came across your blog and i am your new follower. Loved this post. Somehow I always tend to lean towards homemade masks even though I love lush. It’s odd.
